The development of Panda Express and Whataburger on Highway 280 involved the transformation of the former Dixie Fish property into a prime location for these popular dining establishments. This project showcased Bostic Trucking and Excavating's ability to manage multifaceted demolition and site preparation tasks in one of Birmingham’s busiest corridors.

Scope of Work:

1. Demolition of Existing Structures:
   The first step in this project was the complete demolition of the former Dixie Fish building, along with the removal of existing parking areas. Our team carefully dismantled the old structures, ensuring all debris was safely removed from the site to make way for new construction.

2. Dirt Work and Site Preparation:
   With the demolition complete, we moved on to extensive dirt work. This included the removal and export of unsuitable soil, which was replaced with imported engineered fill. Our team then meticulously graded the site to prepare it for the new building pads, parking lots, and driveways, ensuring a solid foundation for both restaurants.

3. Erosion Control and Storm Sewer Installation:
   To prevent soil erosion and manage stormwater effectively, we installed comprehensive erosion control measures and a new storm sewer system. These installations were crucial in maintaining site stability, while protecting the new development and the environment from potential damage.
