Groundbreaking Solutions For A Solid Future
Glen Addie
Project Overview
The Glen Addie project in Anniston, Alabama, was a substantial undertaking that demonstrated Bostic Trucking and Excavating's capacity to manage complex demolition and site preparation tasks across large urban areas. Spanning over 8 acres and involving the demolition of 14 structures, this project represents our variety of capabilities, from environmental safety to meticulous site restoration.
The project began with full scale abatement, ensuring the safe removal of hazardous materials in strict compliance with state and federal regulations. Following the abatement, the demolition phase saw the careful deconstruction of 156,000 square feet of building space across two city blocks. This phase was executed with precision, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and minimal disruption to the surrounding community.
Beyond the demolition, the project scope extended to extensive site preparation. Our team handled the removal of existing utilities, ensuring that underground and above-ground services were safely decommissioned and disposed of. We also took charge of mass grading the site, transforming it into a stable, level base suitable for future development.
Environmental stewardship was a key focus throughout the Glen Addie project. We implemented robust erosion control measures, which were maintained diligently throughout the project’s duration. Additionally, the project featured significant material recycling efforts, particularly in the reclamation of over half a million bricks, which were preserved for reuse or resale, exemplifying our commitment to sustainability.
The final stages of the project involved restoring the site to its natural state. This included removal of all erosion control measures and fencing, followed by the placement of topsoil, hay and seed application to ensure proper land stabilization and preparation for future use.
Overall, the Glen Addie project stands as a testament to BTE's ability to deliver all-inclusive demolition services while upholding the highest standards of safety, environmental care, and community consideration. Our team's expertise and dedication ensured the successful completion of this multifaceted project, paving the way for new possibilities in Anniston’s urban landscape.
